For the second year running, I am proud to report that Pretty Little Braids volunteered at The Royal Children’s Hospital, Good Friday Appeal. Held at Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition Centre, on the 14th of April this year, The Kids Days Out never fails to be an entertaining and fun festival for families to attend.
In a stand, twice the size as last year, our team of 12 volunteer braiders were ready and set for a big day. And, what an amazing day it was. Kicking off before the doors opened to the public we were inundated by volunteers from other fabulous stands lining up to get their hair braided before they started their own shifts. From 10 am young girls, older girls, mothers, and boys came by to say hello. People were queuing up all day to have their hair styled, and our terrific braiders transformed over 400 heads with beautiful braids. Each person gave a gold coin donation to this worthy charity and left our stall Pretty and smiling.
This year we also sold Pretty Little Braids chocolates, kindly donated by Hummingbird Prints, and Jast Creations once again donated loads of handmade bows. Along with a thousand bows gladly donated by us, many styles were completed with a stunning embellishment.

By the end of the day, we raised a whopping $2,544! And, we look forward to doing it all again next year.
