Hello, 2017!
May the best of last year be the first step ascending to this year’s success.
Back from my city escape, feeling fresh and relaxed, I am excited to post my first blog for the year. I have a lot planned for Pretty Little Braids this year. And, I look forward to documenting each step of my journey.
Schools have re-opened (in AUS), concluding our eight-week Summer break, and it’s all systems go!
Our busy family routine is back into action, including extra-curricular activities. Leaving the blissful holidays, now a distant, happy memory.
The star of Pretty Little Braids, Grace began Grade two, and my baby boy, George became a big school boy. He conquered his first day with ease, and Mum was very proud.
In the blink of an eye, January has been and gone. Valentine’s Day is now upon us. Soft, Romantic Hairstyles are out there in abundance. So, I wanted to share some fun, Heart Hairstyles that you can try on your little Princesses.
Here are a few great tutorials I’d like to recommend, posted by some talented braiders. What I love about these styles is you do not need to know how to braid.
Katie from Abellas Braids shows a clear tutorial on how to part your hair to create a heart shape. She incorporates a French braid after the heart, however, you could consider putting the remainder of the hair into a ponytail or messy bun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCvTvG8_U4U
Once you have grasped the basics, you may like to attempt your own heart style. And I encourage you to share your masterpiece.
Happy Braiding!
Shelley xx
